You probably wont have a clue what i am going on about but
Manchester United 2 - Tottenham Hospers 0
We now face Arsenal in the Premiership finals!
Man u are five points ahead of them with a 2 point goal difference! Even if we draw we will still win!

i don't think arsenal has what it takes to make up 5 points -- they completely blew it . . . especially after letting a 2-0 lead go to shit against bolton.
the only way they'd have a playoff is if arsenal and man u have the same # of points and the same goal-differential at the end of the season
doubtful . . . and i'm pissed cuz i'm an arsenal fan

i was so pissed when Ajax lost to AC Milan in extra time. anyhow, i hate AC, and i hate Inter -- so fuck the whole city of milan. i don't really like Real Madrid either -- they're like the NYYankees of european soccer. i'm gonna pull for juventus the rest of the way.
I thought Manchester United won the Championship. It was on Sports Center last night cause the guy had a hat trick in 5- 0romp

there are multiple championships in europe.
there are the domestic league championships -- like English Premiership League, Bundesliga (Germany), La Liga (Spain), Serie A (Italy), etc, etc.
then there are the european-wide championships -- Champions League (most prestigious in europe), and the UEFA Cup (less prestigious, but still pretty good) -- champions league matches are the most exciting to watch, especially when they go to the knock-out phases.
european club teams compete within their own respective domestic leagues in order to qualify for the champs league of the next season, and those that might finish high but don't make the cut, may end up trying to qualify for uefa cup. ultimately, these ALL-euro tournaments are there to generate more revenue, in addition to domestic play, and domestic cups.
manchester united happened to clinch the EPL season title, with that killer win over charlton, and because the second place team, arsenal, choked at home against leeds united.

i'm a big time AC Milan hater, with the exception of Clarence Seedorf -- he's the only player i like on that team. i hate rivaldo, shevchenko, maldini, nesta, and especially that pansy inzaghi. consequently, i'm a bayern munich fan and we got abused this year in champs league by AC back in the first group phase -- the "group of death"
i hope they crash and burn.
