    UConn-artists

I just got home from the Verizon Center in absolute disgust over how the refs handed UCONN this victory. my heart goes out to Washington, the better team on this night, who were robbed of an upset by a tilted final 3 minutes of regulation and completely 1-sided overtime.

by the same token, rashad anderson is a man with balls of steel and ice in his veins. i commend him on his ability to rescue his team, but they should never have been in a rescue-able position. rudy gay is just that -- GAY . . . "look at me, i'm rudy gay, hee hee . . . don't give me the ball with the game on the line cuz i don't want it"

jim calhoun has just edged out coach k as my #1 most hated figure in college hoops (billy packer is in a distant 3rd). i loathe this pompous son-of-a-bitch for his antics throughout the game and furthermore throughout the season. few places in the world can only be given a 2 game suspension for stealing over $5000 in laptops; no expulsion; no real NCAA reprimand; just a bunch of bullshit.

on a positive note, my alma mater is still wearing its cinderella slipper, but may have to finally take it off as it goes against the evil empire of UCUNT.

Uconn had 26 turnovers ...Wash had that game up by 4 with 21 seconds left should have never lost that game...You let Williams have that lay up..dont go no where near him if he blows by you great make your free throws when Uconn fouls you..

I will be rooting hard for George Mason

i just got home from the game. i have no voice. most likely, i will not have a voice until another 3 or 4 days. oddly, i'm in this very weird place, like the matrix, where i am having difficulty differentiating between reality and sheer fantasy. perhaps when i wake up tomorrow and see the paper, it will feel so much more real.

once again, i'd like to take moment to say F CALHOUN. there IS, in fact, a basketball god, and justice was duely served on this day -- but not without several brushes with cardiac arrest.

    GO MASON!!!!!

well if washington players or their coach had a brain they wouldve knocked uconn out

uconn was down by 3 and they had the ball with 10 second left
all washington had to do was let them run it up the court and foul foul foul
which would lead to uconn shooting two and only if both free throws are made then washington would still be up by 1 with ball posession and 6 seconds to go.

but no washington let uconn run and thats why they lost

    all my brackets got busted

GWU was amazing and shocked the crap out of a lot of people.

I'm sitting at the airport right now waiting to fly out to Indy to setup for the final four.

If GW beats UCLA in the finals I'll win my brothers office pool for like 1600.

for starters i didnt land till like 10pm so the airport (looked like more of a deserted air strip) was half shut down, they rolled up a set of stairs to the plane and we had to walk along the runway in the rain

downtown isnt bad, we're staying at the Embesy Suites and theres a bunch of bars/restaurnats to eat at in the middle of downtown. But once you get away from the immediate area of around the dome its pretty much no-mans-land.

thanks for the heads up . . . we'll be making a 10 hour drive from DC in the middle of the night, so i'm sure we'll be going through plenty of no-mans-land and plenty of cow-shit-land. i think were a few miles away from the stadium, i have no idea where my bro booked us

ya theres some hotels out of town like by the airport area i think. i kno all the ones downtown are booked up and the rates are crazyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy so are plane tickets for that matter. the wife of somebody i work with was thinkin of flying out to visit him while he's out here working-- they wanted 1000 for a round trip from ny!!

citys all decorated tho, i walked outta my hotel this morning to head over to teh stadium and there was like a 8 foot tall sneaker sclupture on the sidewalk lol
