Red Cross: IDF troops occupying PA Red Crescent in Nablus

The international Red Cross on Thursday called on Israel to pull troops out of Palestinian Red Crescent premises in Nablus.

The International Committee of the Red Cross said that the Israel Defense Forces had occupied the Red Crescent premises in an operation that began Tuesday night, blocking the entrance and hindering movement of ambulances, patients and staff.

"This action shows grave disregard by the IDF for its obligation to respect and protect medical units," the ICRC said in a statement.



The neutral, Geneva-based agency has repeatedly raised the issue with Israel since then, it said.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society runs emergency medical services and a rehabilitation center for disabled children from the site, which is "used for strictly humanitarian and medical purposes and which must therefore be kept safe from any form of military action or presence," the ICRC said.

The PCRS is a member of the international Red Cross and Red Crescent movement and its medical units, which are clearly identified by the red crescent emblem, are entitled to full protection under international humanitarian law.

A 10-year-old Palestinian girl also died Thursday of wounds she sustained in an air strike on Wednesday, doctors said.

Of course thats wrong but hezbollah sends missiles randonly at towns in Israel with no real target with the hopes of killing or destructing something.... but what is the intention of this story I posted? You dont find it wrong?

wow this slipped throught he cracks with all thats happening in lebanon people are not looking at whats happening in iraq and thepalestinan territories. Atrocaties are happening everywhere right now.
