32 and working out is loosing its interest

I work out for a couple of months miss a month realize I am getting fat and start up again.

I just turned 32 and I really want to buckle down and not turn into a fat slob. Modivation is also hard when your married.

So I started a week ago and this is what I am doing,

    Monday - Chest and Tri's
Walk for 30 minutes on a level 10 incline at 4 miles an hour
    Tuesday - Eliptical 40 minutes

Wednesday - Back and Bi's Walk for 30 minutes

    Thursday - Eliptical 40 minutes

    Friday - shoulders and Legs
    Walk for 30 minutes
Satuday - Eliptical 40 minutes and Abs

Not to crazy but enough where I think I can stay with it. Any input would be appreciated.

Ha diet is the thing, I try to get on track but I am a weird eater. I have a habit to only eating when I get really hungry. Usually what that means I find the closest thing to put in my stomach. Unfortunatlly it is not always the greatest stuff. It is tough when your always on the go.

You need to get your diet in check before anything or you will never see results. I understand that it's hard when you are on the go so maybe get some protein shakes that you can eat in between meals to regulate blood sugar and hunger.

Cut carbs after 5PM and see how that works.

Stick with complex carbs throught out the day, lean protein sources and healthy fats!

If that doesn't work, try carb cycling, heard it works like a charm.

Play around with certain things, you know yur body and everyone is unique.

Yeah I know diet is key, and when it comes to it I am a lazy ass. I got to figure out what works for me and stick with it.

Try not to eat only when your hungry because most likely you will go after the fatty junk food. Start slowly, like first month cut off the sodas and sugary juices, next month add fried foods to your banned list. You don't have to do anything drastic at first but you definitely need to get your food habits changed if you want to see results. You can be in the gym 2 hours a day but if you eat like crap nothing will change.

IMO, your going to loose motivation with a schedule like that. M-Sat is tuff and if you are married and that gets in the way then a M-Sat schedule is going to mess you up and your going to start to skip body parts and then slack off.....

I would stick with M, T, TH, Fri schedule 20-30 min of Cardio and do Upper Body one day Mod weight high reps and then Lower Body the next day..same thing. Take a Day off and hit the Gym on Thursday for an all Cardio day and then Friday for a Total Body day with light cardio. 4 days is ample for anyone IMO unless your going to compete. Abs can be done when ever, but if you got a gut dont even bother till you drop some weight.

Diet, keep shit simple...Get a whey protein and have 2 shakes a day and cut the crap out. Alcohol, candy...ect. Allow yourself ONE cheat Meal a week so you dont loose total interest and see what happens.

Trying to go into a 6 day regiment when your not dedicated as it is, is going to be hard and your going to defet yourself and stop.

Thanks guys for the input I appreciate it.

If I was to do upper body one day and lower body the next how many sets is adequate? Also how many excersises for each body part, and how long should I be training for?

I was taking Muscle milk but I was getting sick of it. What do you guys think of Hydroxycut?

I weigh 231 and would like to get down to 190 eventually.
