    Cozumel, Playa del Carmen

Anyone ever been to any of these locations?

Looking to go end of April/beginning of May

Any recommendations as fars as all inclusive hotels to stay at? Or which location would be better? I definately don't want to go to Cancun lol

    Probably 7days/6nights

That was the first choice....Playa del Carmen...and we were looking to stay at the Rui (all inclusive Resort) but someone said that it was really boring there....

Thanks for your help, that would be great!

I've been to Cozumel 2 times (on Cruises)

and was in South Cancun last month which is was about a 15 minute cab ride from Playa del Carmen..

I'm a fan of Cozumel, but there was ALOT of devastation from the hurricane.. I was there in Jan of 05 and 06, boy what a difference.. so I'm not exactly sure how built up it may be by now but if you are interested in an all-inclusive i strongly strongly strongly reccommend Secrets Riviera Capri.

    The food was insane
    the beach was gorgeous
    the staff was so nice
and the rooms were clean and romantic

I haven't had a chance to post my pics and full review yet in this forum which i WILl do lol.. but in my opinion there is no place nicer in that area

We went thru DeviousVix and she was moreeeeeeeeeee than accomadating to all of my 94535 questions and needs, not to mention cheaper than what I found on the net.

    Good Luck

    Playa Del Carmen is dope!

I went last year around the same time and it was great.

We stayed at the Royal Hideaway, which is all inclusive and it was nice.
    They dont allow kids...great.
    http://www.royalhideaway.com/

Its around $500 a night for a room, but that includes food, booze, etc...they have 4 restaurants. The only thing you would have to pay for is spa shit and if you order a bottle of wine.

As for Playa, the town is great, more of a Spanish feel that Mexico, very different from Cancun.

If you go, hit me up and I can make some recommendations.

No we haven't stayed at any of them but i did read up on some reviews....They are supposed to be 4 and up star resorts. Also 1 of my coworkers has gone to quite a few of their resorts and he LOOOVED all of them

We do how ever plan on using one of their facilities in the near future!

Wow that Secrets Resorts looks amazing... Joe & I were gonna do Italy this year but for various reasons it may not work out w/our schedules (we wanted to do 2 weeks) so we might do a shorter trip to Mexico instead. I was thinking originally of this resort - I read about it in a few magazines and did some research and love it - www.palaceresorts.com

but seeing the Secrets one now (and the ridiculously cheap prices!!) I might wanna do this instead

Dreams and Secrets are excellent resorts. Secrets is adults only and Dreams is for both adults and children. You should check out the Dreams Cancun Hotel..its beautiful. The hotel is 1/2 in the ocean...

I would pick Secrets/Dreams over the Palace...With out a doubt!!!!
