make sure you do the da vinci code tour...it was so much fun!!! i just did it when i went in january...

IMO spring time is the BEST time to go---its not infliltrated with tourists and its nowhere near as swealtering hot as the summer.....

for great shopping ...shoes especially...you need to go to the 7th and 6th arrondissment--near Latin quarters... they have the best little boutiques.....and it is walking distant from the sienne---if you cross right over you are right at the Louvre....Every day we'd start off at our hotel and walk that area and then make it across the sienne..(make sure you wear your walking shoes )

Also, you neeeeed to go to this little antique jewlery store called Dary's on Saint Honarie....they have the best jewlery from all time periods....i got this great mood ring from the 80's there when i went this past time

As for the food---the best meal i had was at the Lutecia brasserie---but its nothing special....the decor is kind of old diner feel--but their oysters were fresh and amazing, and their filet of sole was buttery goodness...

    Paris off my head-

1/Notre Dame Cathedral, St. Coeur- gorgeous, even the walk up the hill was fun, the view is great

2/The Subway-actually very very easy to use and alot of fun

    3/Latin Quarter, St.Germain & the Bohemian section

4/Siene River Cruise-if you want to do this check with your hotel desk as soon as you check in.

    5/Mediterrean(sp?)-the most amazing fucking oysters

6/some breakfast food that I stumbled upon that was basically waffles covered in lots and lots of melted chocolate, I wish I could tell you what it was called......

7/The walk from the Louve to Champses de Elysses must be nice in the spring

    ahh the Latin Quarter

these are some of the obvious, but for a reason.. loved it:

the Musee d'Orsay is another great museum

    Notre-Dame - a must. gorgeous!

    shopping down the Champs-Elysees

the view up at the Sacre Coeur/Montmartre

and we didn't get to try this but i really wanted to do a boat ride on the Seine River

the little shops, bookstores, & cafes are often so quaint.

when you are out to eat - don't expect quick service.. the servers may come off as rude - many of them are.. but the idea there is to chill and relax and talk and talk and talk.. the wait in between each course & dessert & coffee is long.. make sure you enjoy your company lol.

    have fun
