i loved the lowes when we stayed for WMC last year---they treat you like kings and queens poolside--nonstop drinks...and free ice pops

however i can see how it can feel a bit 'family oriented' and not so much like a boutique hotel.

id love to stay at the delano

oh i love South Beach for the cozy botique hotels! :clap
i stayed at The Victor last year and absolutely loved it. its a small botique hotel on Ocean and 11. the rooms are small but so well appointend and furnished. and the bed is probably one of the most comfortable beds Ive ever slept on.l European style bath with rainfall showerhead. and deep jacuzzi. Not only was it a beautiful hotel but the service was top notch! Upon checking in, they served me Evian water and they didnt have a bell boy show to me room, but the Director of food and Beverage (only bc the Dir of Gueste services was occupied). He then gave me a personal tour of the hotel (pool, restaurant, lounge etc) . i would stay there again... no doubt !

i've also stayed at The Shore Club.. i would say the rooms are just average.. typical Ian Schrager minimalist but the bathroom is great! (walkin shower, about the size of a closet!) this hotel is great bc its convenient... and for the social scene. but warning.. it can get loud so if you want to sleep, make sure you ask for a room off the courtyard.

I've never stayed there, but have eaten there a couple times and met up for drinks at The Tides. The hotel is a spectacular view/spot on Ocean drive and i hear the rooms are just as amazing.

For my trade show in July, I am booked at The Sagamore. (first timer)

oh yeah.. some other friends have stayed at The Ritz.. they loved it. but again on the same line as The Loews (bigger hotel). and Ive visited my friend at The Raleigh. i loved her room, very 1940 chic and very modern with a huge flat screen . The pool at the Raleigh may be my fave on SoBe

The Standard also opened up lasat year.. its off the venetian causeway but its supposed to be great!

i def wouldnt recommend the standard it is VERY far from the beach so if u are planning to make this a beach vacation it wouldnt be for you...

the decor and restaurant was very cute though and we had a pretty good meal there...

Boutique hotels and the Delano or Shoreclub not withstanding, if u wanna do something a little less expensive I'd definitely recommend the Royal Palm
The girls & I stayed there in 05 for LDW and I'd sooo go back again and again.. everything was clean, no complaints at ALL.. it's right in the middle of everything, and they are soo lenient about everything there.. there are two pools.. the main one downstairs and a smaller more intimate one upstairs.. when we went, I don't think anyone else knew about the small pool b/c we had it ALL to o/s every morning, lol.. I even slept out poolside one morning
but seriously.. we would have afterhour pool parties at the main pool every night (topless and all ) and no one ever bothered us.. drinks are plentiful and the staff leave u alone no matter what time of day/night ... def good times

the pool is nice too u for sure will pay for mad cabs and or rentin a car isn't worth it bc its 25 a day!

I love the SHORE CLUB i get sick deals there

the VICTOR i get VERY cheap rates (depending on dates of travel)

I get great deals on the Bentley Beach as well...

the Catalina is a fun hotel as well with cheap rates

i would not send you to the WAVE-small rooms and they've been slackin-
