    The Most Dangerous Catch

Anyone watch this show last night... Fucking nuts!

No one could EVER pay me enough to go out on one of those crab fishing boats...

I can't imagine how seasick they must get too... One thing about the sea - it will always be the great equalizer w/ regards to technological advances....

the makers damage more equipment to make that show than any other show on tv.
all of their cameras get demolished after only a few days/hours

It's crazy cause the avg catch yields only about ten grand per deck hand... I mean true, it's only a week's work, but a measely ten k versus your life? thats just not enough money to make that risk IMO...

Some of the really successful boats can make up to 40k per person tho...

Id be more worried about getting maimed or killed by the swinging 5 ton rusted metal crab traps in the wind and waves than even the water itself...

Discovery channel always cranks out the quality shows/programs. I've been watching on HD Discovery Theater 'Planet Earth', amazing shots in HD!
It all comes back to house.

I think that in a lot of these places the fishing jobs are the only jobs that there are. It's like people who work in mines, that is the only source of income. I love the show and I am bummed I missed last night. Hopefully they will run a million reruns so I can catch up.

    Everest was/is the shit.

A Sherpa summited from basecamp in 8 hours, takes white people 4 weeks....

we should honestly be disgusted with ourselves...

stick the sherpas our sum day labors on the boat and see how many die..
