after u hit ur head, when is it safe to go to sleep? like how long after u hit ur head
i fell down my stairs last night and wacked the back of my head really hard and got a big lump.....i also sprained my ankle
i waited like 2 hours b4 i went to sleep, but for future reference?

"for future reference"..?..do you plan on hitting your head again sometime soon? because i would definitely suggest against it.
you dont have to stay awake after hitting your head i believe...it was a away to mointor someone to see if there were any changes immediately after the incident...but if you lost conciousness for a few minutes or have any memory lapse then i would say see a doctor...

also, if you're not naseaus or speaking weird (slurring, not making sense, etc.) by this point, i think you're ok...like someone said above, that's why the whole "don't go to sleep" thing is relevant. it's mainly just to monitor if there are any changes in behavior which could signify an actual head (brain) injury opposed to just a bump. in any case, feel better

nah, i think im good lol.....but WOW, did my fucking head HURT last night
now my body muscles are starting to hurt....and my ankle/foot...pfffft...SHOT!
