Appetizer, Dessert or both?

My boyfriend and I were discussing this over dinner Monday night.

Do you usually get an appetizer or dessert with your entre?

Or do you do both?

On top of that, do you usually share appetizers, or to each their own

A normal dinner I think when you go out would be all three, apps or salad/soup, then entree and then dessert. I actually like more than that...........

But its also fun to order a few different apps and share because its great to try multiple things.

yeah, going out for tapas or dim sum with a group of peeps (4 min) is awesome, cuase you get to eat a shitload of dishes without feeling like a fat kid in a bakery

always get both unless I'm expectionally full which is rare..

I absolutely do not believe in sharing dessert though... or anything else for that matter, but dessert especially. Nope, not happening!

i usually share or eat all the apps and my meal then whatever my date doesnt finish and skip dessert and keep drinking. maybe an esspresso but thats it usually.

If I am with the family, we do apps but with the boyfriend, we just get meals.
I get fun after dinner drinks for dessert like limoncello or buca on the rocks.

I'll fucking shank some body that trys to touch one of my plates. The only restaurant i actually dont get both, and actually dont get either is Iberia in Newark, the rodizio & fruit le mer plates are more then enough.

i balance it. if i'm eating heavy i like to get a lighter desert, or if i'm craving something rich and intense for dessert, i'll take it easy when i'm ordering my app and main course... so i don't feel like a slob afterwards.
