What are some odd things you've found in your food?

only weird thing I found was an eyelash in my eggs at work and plastic on a sub from wawa back in the day

yea hair seems to be a common thing. I found a cut nail in my food yrs back. Never ate that establishment again.

when I was younger I waitresed at a rest and someone wanted me to bring some mozz sticks to someones table that wasnt mine and I saw a MAGGOT in the marinara sauce!!!!!!!!!!!!! So Im like um NO WAI I am bringing that there. Now mind you the MANAGER was standing there he took it out with his hands and told me to still bring it


I refused.


and didnt work there a lot longer for obv reasons . I was like 17



that was the closest thing I could think of to finding something in food lol

no clue. that was first and only time I had ever experienced anything gross at that place lol.

I personally have seen pieces of glass, large and small pieces of plastic, lead from a pencil, finger nails, numerous different bugs, mainly in lettuce mixtures though, which is common. Let me think what else........


being in the industry though you are more likely to see it than if you were just eating there, because hopefully you can catch it before it goes out to the table.
