In light of Laurens Lamb post..what ingredients are you not comfortable cooking with?

Some of mine are scallops, shrimp, squid, actually come to think of it almost all seafood (always think I'll overcook them), lamb, veal....

What a nice thought... To think this post is dedicated to me!

I am not comfy cookin' pork loin or pork chops. They're such a lean meat to begin with, I never know how to make it juicy.

I think you have to buy the most firm tofu there is. Then it's easy, because it doesn't break. But why do you cook tofu?

i like tofu if cooked right. Fried tofu is great w/ that plum sauce that those thai places have. Sauteed tofu w/ vegetable cooked in oyster sauce is good too.

It is good if cooked right. That garlic and spiced tofu you tried to whip up sounds good.

I made a meatless/tofu sauce once with pasta. It was actually quite appetizing. Who woulda thunk it? Try it out! Chop it up, like "ground meat" & add it to sauce.

You know what my problem was, I never HAD tofu in my life.. so I had no clue what the final result was supposed to be.

I think I'm hanging up my tofu cooking shoes tho..

It really doesn't have much of a taste right?
I should try it sometime again tho, I won't let the tofu win

Tofu is tasteless, even though I do see it flavored, but I think that's a little suspicious and nastier.

But don't give up!!! Not yettt!
