This is mine and my boyfriend's favorite.::

    INGREDIENTS
3 pounds potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
    1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    1 cup chopped cooked ham
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
    1/2 cup water
    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon black pepper

    DIRECTIONS
Place sliced potatoes in slow cooker. In a medium bowl, mix together shredded cheese, onion and ham. Mix with potatoes in slow cooker. Using the same bowl, mix together condensed soup and water. Season to taste with garlic powder, salt and pepper. Pour evenly over the potato mixture.
Cover, and cook on High for 4 hours.

I love to make Chicken Cacciatore in the crock pot.

    6 drumsticks, skinless
    2 breasts, skinless
1 16 oz can of diced tomatoes
    2 tbsp of tomato paste
    1 cup dry white wine
1 yellow, red, and green bell pepper, sliced
    1 whole onion, diced (small)
    1 tspn oregano
    1 tspn parsley
    2 basil leaves, chopped
    2 bay leaves
2 cups baby bella mushrooms, sliced

Mix all in the crock pot, put on low for 7 hours.

    Serve over pasta.

I have the same problem. Mine just sits on the floor to the side. Just be sure to keep the floor clean and rinse it off before you use it and it's fine.

That chicken cacciatore recipe looks yummy. I will have to try it.
