Agreed. In my eyes the majority of conservative talk, such as Hardball, showcases the conservative need to speak loudly and recklessly about their opinions often times in a setting which limits any real debate. It's a good reflection of the reckless conservative mentality that is EVERYWHERE today, masked in the flag and that gung-ho spirit. And for the record, I clearly recognize a more responsible conservative idealism, but in speaking of shows like Hardball I'm sure many will agree with me that it is so prevelant on that show that it's ridiculous.. very child-like.

NBC is a liberal tv network and HARDBALL leans to the left..

If you would have mentioned Hannity and Colmes then I would agree about leaning to the right but disagree about conservative news orgs complaining they are just exposing the left and their idiocy.. Hannity tears a new asshole out of any left wing loon that steps on that show.. He repeatedly show the likes of Shartpton and Charlie RANGLE how retarded their views are and how if left to them we would be a welcome mat for terrorists and other homicidal maniacs.

yeah maybe when I work for a few years have some money in the bank, I'll be able to appreciate those tax cuts. And then I can turn around them and invest them, and use my political connections as insider trading to pull out of (ENRON'S) and Invest in Construction Companies that win POST WAR contracts. Yeah I rather pay higher taxes and have a Mass Social Program, and more people employed and educated in the process. Fucking Crooks.

This dichotomy seems rather dated. I don't see less taxes in my paycheck. I don't see what Republicans have over Democrats when it comes to "American Values" which I consider to include civil liberties, no? I believe they've been quite curtailed lately. Responsible for one's own destiny? I believe the blame game is endemic in both parties and throughout American culture. It certainly is not the sole province of the Republican ideology.

I really don't know where you are going with this but here it goes..

Tax cuts put money back into my pocket where it belongs. Economics 101 teaches that when a persons income increases , consumption increases... When consumption increases demand for products increase & that means more jobs!!!!!

So because you don't work right now it means someone like my self should be taxed more?

    Enron was a disaster TRUE...

Construction Companies that won POST WAR contracts ???

Are you referring to Halliburton winning contracts in Iraq? Bill ask your self this question... How many companies BESIDES Halliburton who has one federal contracts under democratic presidents in the past, can do what HALLIBURTON does??

    There's your answer!

******Yeah I rather pay higher taxes and have a Mass Social Program, and more people employed and educated in the process. Fucking Crooks. *****

OK so Germany or France with it's HIGH taxes and massive social programs are economic power houses?

You couldn't tell by their DOUBLE DIGIT UNEMPLOYMENT AND NEGATIVE GDP.

    dichotomy nice word

It's the whole tax cut package that will benefit our economy. Most of the tax cut is still being rolled out and the early refund has already shown it's benefits, look at corporate profits and consumer sentiment.

Civil liberties.. Are you referring to the PATRIOT ACT? Tough situation but the average american will not be affected by the act but it will indeed save lives because it grants the the justice dept with the tools it needs to protect us.. I think the minor bending of civil liberties if indeed they are being bent is worth it NO?

Is racial profilling bad? Ask yourself something when you look at the terrorist over the last 2 decades why wouldn't you be a little more aware when a 30 year old arab boards a plane ....

I am not saying crucify every arab but if you want a fish you go looking in a pond

Listen Brother I'm half way thru my MBA, so save the Economics lesson for someone else.

Higher Taxes+Better Social Program=More Government Jobs, Spending and Better Wages=More Consumption+More Investment=A Higher GDP=A more stabily economy=which then leads to Buiness Investment which pushes the economy more and is currently keeping our economy from making a full recovery.

If taxes cuts are so effective why haven't the pushed the economy out of it's current state. Fuck tax cuts for the rich. Make the cuts for the poor the have a much higher marginal propensity too spend. Better yet give businesses better loan rate's. But the last part is a FED problem, mostly. Seems like Greenspan has forgotten about the other two tools of fiscal policy.

And I'm not talking about massive social programs like governmental paying healthcare like the diasters in Canada and parts of Europe(The Netherlands with a 33% unemployment rate). I'm talking about more jobs for teacher, building more highways(construction jobs) so forth and so on......

Halliburton was a fucking scam............If Chaney was on the ticket they don't get the contract plain and simple. A golden rule of investing, pick up Lockheed-Martin anytime a Republican takes office, because they're going to bomb someone.

I am in complete agreement with Gates. The republican argument on this thread seems to only try and expose an extreme left and abandon reason. Economics 101 lessons about increase in income = increase in spending? That was genious! Get real. Don't you think maybe corporate profits have shot through the roof because everyones been laid off?

WOW. I leave for a few days and I get beat up by the left and their henchmen.. lol lol I love a good debate

The U.S government is already the countries largest employer. How many more jobs can they create in their already massive budget. If the country has roughly 300 million people with close to a 7 trillion GDP and 6% unemployement rate is it really a good idea for the governemnet to higher 2 million workers?? How much highway is there to lay?? In the 20's with the great depression and no economic activity, yes it was smart to create government programs because economic activity was close to zero but as you know it ain't the 20's and it DEFENITLEY ain't the DEPRESSION.

The federal reserve bank has been aggressively cutting the fed fund rate to a record low level that combined with the tax cuts we received HAS brought our economy that not only suffered a recession but a major terrorist attack is on it's way to better days.

Here some economic reports that have been recently released to prove my point that we have gone over the hump and are on our way to a recovery.

Consumer Spending- Actual 0.8 % increase
    Personal Income - Actual 0.2 % increase
    Real GDP - Actual 3.1 % ++++

Weekly Jobless Claims - Actual/ 394 K... this is below the 400k mark which signals a expansion in the job market but I am sure you know that unemployment is a lagging indicator and is always last to recover after peaking. I will bet my bottom dollar that the last reading of 6.4 is a peak and as we progress that number will hopefully decrease.

    http://www.nasdaq.com/asp/econodayfr...day/index.html

A little note from the report found on NASDAQ.COM that you might enjoy...

The July change in disposable personal income ( personal income less personal tax and nontax payments) WAS BOOSTED AS A RESULT OF PROVISIONS OF THE JOBS AND GROWTH TAX RELEIF RECONCILIATION ACT OF 2003.
Sounds like the tax cuts worked to me bud.

Heres another little gem you might find interesting....

Top 5% - 56.47% of all income taxes; Top 10% - 67.33% of all income taxes; Top 25% - 84.01% of all income taxes. Top 50% - 96.09% of all income taxes. The bottom 50%? They pay a paltry 3.91% of all income taxes. The top 1% is paying more than ten times the federal income taxes than the bottom 50%! And who earns what? The top 1% earns 20.81% of all income. The top 5% earns 35.30% of the pie. The top 10% earns 46.01%; the top 25% earns 67.15%, and the top 50% earns 87.01% of all the income.
    http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/men...xes.guest.html

Bill when you complete your MBNA, hopefully you will earn enough to compensate your commitment that I respect and know takes alot of effort to accomplish. I GARUNTEE your tax cut for the "RICH" attitude will change because if you make over 28k, IN THE GOVERNMENTS EYES YOU ARE RICH and should be taxed more.
You never know you might even come over to the RIGHT side of the fence.

    Regards.
