    Soo..

Recently I moved into a complex that has a gym, so I cxl'd my membership @ NYSC- saving me $80/monthly. My sitchu is, I am not sure I can get used to this little gym compared to my big one, although its great for what I do- mostly cardio.

It also has weight machines, and full racks of free weights, etc.etc.

What can I do, to get me more into the groove of going here VS. NYSC?

Your environment should have very little do with your workout. It sounds like its the perfect little gym to me.

i had a gym like that in my old building. it was nice but unfortunately after a few months i went back to the regukar gym. i found that i needed to be almost competetive, i challenged myself more when their were other people around. in the end, i woulnd up using the gym in the complex just for some morning cardio

What vibe is that? The juicebags, shitty music, and 80,000 machines that you'd never use even if you knew how? You can't workout in a hole because you're mentally weak.

You have to see what the place has and try and make it work. I dont know what you normally do for a work out but you can def make it happen if you are creative and know how to make things work.

I also here where your coming from though, if your truly limited then it sucks. But if you have a bench and free weights you can do a lot but you can still be limited with ways to mix things up.

NYSC is a rip off though and saving $70 bucks or so a month is worth it if you can make this gym set up work. Take the money you save a month and buy some of your own stuff to help mix things up with your workouts.

Its not a shithole @ ALL, its just small compared to a huge gym..

Someone mentioned being challenged, when other ppl are around you- and this is on point...Thats how I felt @ NYSC and whenever someone is next to me working out that I don't know. I think I need to focus more on challenging/out doing myself, and not worry about if there are ppl around.

Its not so bad. I have a choice of 2 treadmills, stair machine, all the free weights and benches, balance ball things, workout bars, sauna (which is alot cleaner than the one @ NYSC), etc. I have to just learn how to mix it up, or have someone advise me on what to do....I am missing my elliptical which was keeping my tush in check and arc trainer :(
