Howard Stern claims he will never vote for a democrat again

Lol i guess when he turned on bush he lost his base ..i was a huge stern fan id say from 85-96 .. Now all of a sudden he realizes the dems are closet commies and the only reason he saying this was the same reason he rallied against bush ..worrying about his own career .. i do agree with him ..but what world has he been living in to just speak out now??

Audio: I’ll never vote Democrat again, vows Sternposted at 5:22 pm on July 24, 2008 by Allahpundit
Send to a Friend | printer-friendly His grievance is over an issue that won’t matter to most of you, but no matter. Having the two biggest names in radio finally in agreement that the Dems are closet communists is a welcome development, whatever the reason.
Ars Technica has background on the politics within the FCC that held up the merger for so long. Democrat Jonathan Adelstein voted no because the new entity wouldn’t agree to set aside fully one quarter of its stations for public-interest programming. Quoth Alley Insider: “Why would we pay for that?” Exit question: Does this mean Stern, apolitical though he usually is, can be counted on as an ally if the Dems move to bring back the Fairness Doctrine? Since Fairness deals with broadcast radio, not satellite, and therefore doesn’t affect him, I’m guessing no. (In fact, to the extent that Fairness would push big name talent like Limbaugh onto satellite, thereby increasing the size of Stern’s pie, he might actively support it.) Click the image to listen.

    heres what he said

Stern described a phone conversation he had with his agent, who he described as a “liberal Democrat kind of guy.”

“I go, ‘That’s it!’” Stern said. “[I] go, ‘You know what Don, I’ve voted Republican and I’ve voted Democrat. I have vowed I will never vote for a Democrat again. I don’t give a [expletive] – no matter who they are. I don’t care if God becomes a Democrat.’ I said, ‘I backed Hillary Clinton, I backed Al Gore, I backed John Kerry. I am done with them.’”

“The fact that these Democrats on the FCC are communists,” Stern said. “They’re for communism. They don’t want to see companies – this is gangsterism. I said, ‘This is crazy.’”

Is it wrong and foolish to mourn the men who have died?
Rather we should thank God that such men lived!

james what are you nuts??? you talking about two satellite companies that make up about 1% of radio market??? what competition are you talking about??? they arent in competition of each other.. they are in competition of all radio.. satellite radio is only a small portion of radio as a whole

    no they aren't,

    terrestrial radio is geographically bound,

    satellite is not.

you can't drive from NY to FL and listen to hot 97 the whole way, but you can listen to the same satallite station. so there is no competition.

as far as competition in itself, well.. come come now tahts not the reason the morons at the FCC wanted the hold up, they are scared it will put terrestrial radio under, placing oprah and stern, eminem, on the same network, could be disasterous to the already shrinking terrestrial radio. honestly regular radio SUCKS balls. O and A are 2 morons, Imus, another idiot, all the morning shows suck they tak about shit half assed cause they really can't talk about what they want to in fear of fines and reprecussions.

Satallite radios are already being placed standard in most cars, and its only an amount of time before it picks up heavier. the only 1 thing that puts fear in the satallite companies are IPOD connections in cars.

bring on satallite thank god i bought the stock low, when it hits 4 dollars plus ill cash out have a laugh and set up my house party for the ushering in of a black president in a few months... ;-) have a good one.

exactly and you pay for it..u pay for that service, and satelliete radio actually pay for the songs they play to record companies. reg radio does not. Clear Channel watered down radio so its unlistenable now..
what about ipods., mp3 players, iphone, blah blah blah
Whats criminal is the BS these companies had to go thru for this to be done.

any chanell playing records pays for those spins, the difference is clear chanell pays ASCAP or BMI which pays the artist.

    exactly on your last post.

its not the co's fault that NO one else wants to open a sat radio company. Its not like XM or SIRI is trying to corner the entire market like say ohh i don't know a haliburton..or a lockheed and martin...Its a free country a monopoly would be if they merged and said NO one else can start a sat company. totally bullshit illegal that they had to go thru 14 months of red tape to get 1 merger than no one really gives a shit about except the assholes in congress who feel its THEIR right to censorship..

at the end of the day they are fearful of sat radio cause there is no governing body like terrerstrial radio. so peopele can do or say what they will. Uncle sam doesn't like that all that much.
