How long do you usually run on the treadmill?

My stamina isn't really up to par as most of the ppl at my gym, but I'm def improving.

    I couldn't go more than 3mins before....but now I'm up to 15mins on level 5.5.

    Do you hog treadmills?

45 min on a 13% incline and 3.5 speed. 5x a week. i do it this way for keeping my muscle while burning the fat. just keep my heart rate @ 140bpm - 155bpm, no more then that!

I only run sprints on the treadmill like 3-5 minutes @7-9. For longer periods of time I get on the elliptical

I used to be 5'5 210 llbs....38 waist... never did cardio.
Now i'm 5'5 165-175 depends how i'm feelin' on what i want for my body. Right now trying to get down to 160 solid.

When i started doing cardio i was a little fat kid on the eliptical aiming for 30 minutes. Then some trainer at my old gym bet me to run 15 minutes on the treadmill. Speed ranged from 3.5 - 5.0.

The eliptical helps prepare you for the treadmill. Nowadays i switch it from treadmill to stairs. Sometimes both 45 min's to an hour. depends on what you want and how bad do you want it.

My thing lately is in between sets i been doing the jump rope thing. Feels great.

i deff hog the treadmill lollll

but it feels so good, nothing makes me feel as good as running fast for a while... i fuked up my hip so been doing very light stuff for the last month but before (last month and yrs before it lol) would do 40 mins plus.... sick feeling... u need to run for at least 8 mins to warm up, also got to force urself to speed up wehn u want to stop, bc thats what u need sometimes, sometimes that means ur not tired but ur actually bored so u need to speed up for at least a min, feel the rush, u'll feel ready to run for miles after that

oh and for a music lover? id think running is the best... i personally can get really stupid when a good song comes on my mp3... pretty sure thats how i fuked up my hip lollllllllll

I've been working on my running...started out just being able to jog for 10 minutes, now I am up to 50 minutes....feels great! Never thought I could be a runner. I go very slow though (5.0) but I want to continue working on my speed and length of the actual run

40-60 minutes max inclined intervals of speed but mainly a steady march....

when not on an incline its about 45 minutes and banging out 4-5 mile runs.

How do I get to go for longer than 2 minutes at a time before feeling like I am going to die? Seriously.

Try fast walking & eventually you'll be able to jog. Start slow

you have to go the slowest possible pace...start out that way and just work on 5 min, then 10, etc. i started jogging at like 4.7 or 4.8

    Are you a smoker?

Walk fast for a few weeks, then little by little work your way up to 5.0-5.2...Do not run though, just jog.

like 20-30 minutes tops, usually with intervals. Treadmill is boring as shit, though. I rather run outside.

Start off with a good pair of running sneakers...

Go for a light jog on the treadmill on a daily basis...Aim for 10 min w/ suffering. Then gradually do it twice begining and end of your work out 10 min each. Build that tolerance, youll get over those cramps. The 10 minutes becomes 15, 15 becomes 20 and so on...The light jog will be a piece of cake, start doing a heavy jog, eventually you'll be running and feeling great. Switch it up holla'

I run on the westside highway track like 2 miles every other day or so. I really should find a dirt trail to run

I do the treadmill for 40 mins. Intervals -- alternate between running & walking on an incline.
