Anyone Live In Hoboken - Which Gym Do You Reccomend?

It looks like I'm moving to Hoboken Nov 1 - I'm trying to find a gym that's not $100 a month...

The building I am moving into already has a gym so I don' t give a shit about cardio equipment because I can use my buildings - but I want to find a gym with dumbells that go up around 125lb or higher and shit like hammer strength...

I heard about Empire Fitness and would have loved to go there because they would have been so close to where I'm moving to but I heard they just shut down last month...

The only 2 I know about are NYSC and H-Club but can't see paying $100 a month for a friggin gym...

I used to go to Hoboken Athletic Club. It is 3 floors, and used to be 24hrs IDK if it still is. It is on 1st and Washington, 2 doors down from Johnny Rockets...

Back then it was like $60/mo.

I have a gym in my building also but I want to join another gym again, I feel more motivated when I am at a big gym

im in the same position, I used to go to empire until it closed down. It wasn't expensive, none of that fancy shit all the other gyms out here have, good free weight area. Plus it was right around the corner from where I lived so I didn't have to drive anywhere.

NYSC uptown and Club H are decent but too much, like $100+ a month. Plus they all want commitments. I'm going to do a trial at Hudson Athletic Club this week, its on washington street btw 1st and 2nd. I called recently and the guy told me it was $65 for a month to month contract, no signup fees, as long as you say you were a former empire member.

$100? I use NYSC downtown and I like it.

wish i had an answer for ya. I used to be a member at empire too, i been using the gym in my building (small and sucks) in the interim waiting to see if anything else reopens in that space. Most of the other gyms around all have everything on top of each other in the weight area, empires second floor was nice b/c you had more then 2" between you and the guy on the bench or machine next to you.
