    Homemade taco & salsa for dinner.

    Had a craving somewhat authentic tacos, not the taco-kit ones, so I picked up some shit to make.

    After buying all the shit, I'm lazy to make it now. lol

    Gonna use a shitload of serrano & jalapenos in the salsa.....

    here are the recipes im using...but im changing it up and adding some extra and better ingredients.

    Ground beef
    Salt
    Chili powder
    Paprika
    Cumin
    Garlic powder or 2 cloves
    Bell pepper
    Onion

    Instructions for taco recipe:

    Let's take 2 pounds of ground beef in 2 quart sauce pan add 1 teaspoon of salt, 2 tablespoons of chili power, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder or 2 chopped garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon of cumin, 2 tablespoons of paprika. Enough water to cover meat.

    Bring to a boil. Simmer over medium low heat about an hour. I will check in about 15 minutes take a potato masher break up the meat a little don't want it to cook up in lumps.

    Repeat this process 2 or 3 more times. Also make sure we don't run dry of water. Add water if needed.

    OK, add 1/2 medium chopped onion, 1/2 medium chopped bell pepper, continue cooking 20 or 30 more minutes.

    Salsa

    * 3 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
    * 1/2 bunch fresh cilantro
    * 2 cloves garlic, chopped
    * 2 (14 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes
    * 2 serrano chilis, seeded and chopped
    * salt and pepper to taste

    * add to recipe box Add to Recipe Box

    * add to shopping list Add to Shopping List
    * Customize Recipe
    * add a personal note Add a Personal Note

    DIRECTIONS

    1. Combine chives, cilantro, garlic, tomatoes, peppers, salt and pepper to taste in an electric blender. Pulse until the salsa is to your desired consistency.

    lol im tryin to replicate those texmex joints in the city where they make the ground beef real fine and seasoned well. I think its hard to make authentic. Any joe schmo can make regular tacos.

    btw i just made the salsa....and that shit is OUT OF CONTROL. I added onions and jalapenos...i can shower in this shit.

    I make homemade salsa in my food chopper....its so much better when it's nice and fresh instead of from the jar....you probably wont (want to) buy jar salsa ever again.
