What would I do without the gym?

It's truly amazing how good working out really is for you. I just got a little taste of a nice example.

I basically havent been to the gym in 2 weeks, up untill last night that is. Early 2 weeks ago I was in a car accident where I banged my knee a bit so I had to stay out of the gym for a while. Then early last week I had to travel for work and then late last week I shot off to Vegas right through to this week, did nothing but party and have felt like shit since( I think due more to food poisoning or something like that), point being i came back this Monday and didnt go to the gym again Monday or Tuesday.

I've been ok since coming back but still not all there, still over tired and with a small headache/weird overall feeling. Fuck it, last night I was well enough to make it to the gym even tho i still felt a little weird. Bam, awesome workout...I thought I might be a little weaker than usual but as it turns out whatever I did do I was rocking countless reps on my higher weight sets. Felt awesome, and by the time I left, every single issue I had previously was gone, not tired, no headache, nothing.

    I fuckin love it!

Yes, it's great. I see people stumble into the gym and even out of the gym lookin like they feel like crap and I just think to myself you are doing something wrong. I run down the stairs to get in there and i run up them to leave. Then I run to my car most of the time too. haha

I love the way I feel in the gym after killing it for 35 minutes and being drenched in sweat

thanks, its good now, I was a passenger in a car that rear ended another at about 30-40 mph. I kinda raised my leg up for impact which at first i thought was a stupid reaction but it might have helped me since it hit the dashboard just under the joint. Hitting the joint directly is what i was scared of, if i took that impact directly to the joint i probably wouldnt be feeling to well right now. Got hit on that flat spot just under the knee cap so it was just a bruise that ended up lasting a few days and now i think its all good. close one.

naa I dunno that sounds incorrect, you are not supposed to feel completely drained and shitty after the gym. There is a big difference between rocking the shit out of your muscles/being sore/out of breath...etc and totally draining your body of all energy and function. Obviously im not saying to the extent where you could repeat your workout but you should be feeling great when leaving the gym, not useless.

not at all, if i can run out of the gym i'm not going hard enough

sometimes i need a full 30 minute session of sitting down and slowly sipping my shake because i can't do anything else

hahaha yesss maybe that is a better way of describing what i mean. Yea I feel rocked to hell but im still more amped than drained (most of the time), last night I could barely walk out of the place. I'll admit i've never gone hard enough to set off a nose bleed, light headed yes, but no nose faucet. I walk back to the locker room light headed and dizzy and shit at times but usually by the time I wash up and head for the exit im feelin good. I might be walking like I just ripped up every part of my body but I like it and i feel good damit!
