All Avalon's are nice. That one is across the street from the train station... Pretty loud intersection. The one in Lyndhurst is in a little quieter location.

i tried to get in there to look when we were first looking at east rutherford... they seemed nice from the floorplan but i doubt they are really worth the money.
i'm a half mile away in a smaller condo building and take the bus instead of the train and i swear by it.

location is great though, i love our town.

we are in an avalon now but in arlington, va- so we have to transfer back to another avalon in nj. i'm trying to figure out which one is the best out of edgewater, east rutherford or lyndhurst. is lyndhurst close to nyc??? i'm familiar not w/ it- how would u get into the city from there.

edgewater & east rutherford have HORRIBLE reviews on apartmentratings.com saying there are mice, smelly garbage, break-ins etc.

i'm thinking east rutherford is probably best in terms of location- although i'm not really sure where lyndhurst. fiance will be commuting to nyc so that is important for us.

avalon jc is the closest to the city.

i know someone that lived in the edgewater one ( its also down the st from me) and that lived in lyndhurst and they both liked living there. its kinda hard to trust apartmentratings.com. ive seen great places w bad reviews and bad places w great reviews.

The JC one is definitely closest and I've been in them and their nice, that area is kind of funny though it's like a commuter section and can be real quiet @ night, although it's getting more built up. The Edgewater one sucks because to get into the city you have to take a shuttle to the lightrail/PATH or ferry, it's a real hassle, East Rutherford by the train station is a great area IMO, the commute is a little longer then JC but it's more of a suburban/neighborhood feel to it, I actually really like the area and eat lunch over there a few days a week.

Jersey City is the closest. Lyndhurst is actualy close to the City too - the Lincoln is about 15 mins away down Rt 3.

The Lyndhurst one is nice and i like the town. I have a reverse commute and it's only about 20-25 mins with traffic.
    * I really am as awesome as I appear.

PM Dancefloorhewa, she just moved from the Lyndhurst building. I was over a bunch of times and I thought it was nice.
I'm not sure how you get into the city from there I think she could shed some light... I'm sure your fiance could drive to Secaucus station (there's parking there now) if he wanted if there isnt a bus right there. Its right where Rt. 3 and Rt 17 meet, its def convenient to the turnpike, city, etc.
As for East Rutherford I'd only be semi concerned about parking since your right next to the train station. Do they have a garage?

it says they have 197 parking spaces. i'm going to look at east ruth & lyndhurst this weekend & see what the deal is. lyndhurst definitely looks nicer online but east ruth is such an easy commute w/ the train across the street so i gotta see what's up w/ the parking there. east ruth would also be closer to my family & friends which is nice.

The Lyndhurst place is literally 3 minutes down Rt 17 from me, I think you're picturing it being a little further out than it is...
