I know this is an idiotic/novice question but I never really asked anyone and always had an idea of what it is but want to know for real.
The ticker on the bottom of CNBC what does it mean?? I mean, I know the symbols are stocks and the prices etc.. BUT whats the difference between the blue and the white line? the top and the bottom? is one selling and one buying?
Is it just the stocks they choose to show you? Are all tickers the same? probably not
I've tried googling it but never come up with a straight answer its always too general either that or nobody is dumb enough to ask..
