I got for as many reps as I can with heavier weight. I make sure the muscle(s) are doing work and being exhausted.

I read an article a few years back about a power lifter who went for 10 reps down the dumbbell wrack till he got to the 150's and still cranked out 10 reps on hammer curls.

the elite fts method focuses on speed(explosion) and then raw strength. so in the workout your either going to do extremeley heavy weight close to your max under 5 reps mainly nothing above 3 and alot of 1's. Other stuff usually is fast reps at a high rep range over 12. Those are mostly accessory lifts

For most people dumbell chest on a flat bench is a big deal. in elite fts/westside its an acessory lift to help the flat barbell bench. Same with pull ups and rows. In my humble opinio n i think it is arguably the best system of trainign that can be applied to so many different areas (powerlifting, bodybuilding, sports like football basketball, baseball, boxing/mma).

yea but you have to understand, those dumbells were not heavy FOR HIM. so 10 for him was nothing. im sure he follows the 5/3/1 method.

Music is good in the second video, lol I got a ton of OLD ACDC on my ipod... I dont see how those half reps of bench are going to do anything. Its a waste if you ask me. Unless your strictly going to do powerlifting it is useless for your average person or even body builder to do lifts like that.
