Drive - FUCKING AWESOME. Best movie I've seen in a while. Starts off a little slow and then goes into high gear.

Killer Elite - nice little action flick if you like action. Worth the rental price.

Bad teacher - I wasn't expecting much but it actually was pretty funny. It's nothing groundbreaking, but after seeing what Wedding Crashers did to comedies I always expect them to get ruined halfway through by some cheese conflict. This pretty much had none of that.

    100%

Love when DeNiro loses his accent midway through. I don't get the point of intentionally making a B movie, but it was def entertaining.

Going the Distance - rom com starring Barrymore and Justin Long. Co stars Applegate and SNL guy from Hall Pass. Pretty funny. Applegate and Barrymore say fuck a whole lot. Pretty funny at times. - 2 & 1/2 cocoanutts

first 60 minutes of that movie is some of the funniest shit ever on film, but after that it turns into this depressing suicide movie. Will Ferrell and his "Mom the Meatloaf" kind of saved it, but the whole 20 minutes of pure depressing crap make me not want to watch it past the crabcakes and football scene.

don't understand the need to add in a sad part to an awesome comedy like in wedding crashers, or a romance part into a kick ass action flick like Thor, just to appease the pantywaist demo. Stop trying to cater to everyone, and just focus on the primary audience

Ides of March - kind of a standard political drama, but good acting overall and a pretty fast paced movie. Gosling talks a hell of a lot more than he did in Drive, lol. Only thing I'll say is there's nothing very shocking or revelatory about the state of politics that comes out of this movie. Sleeping with an intern, backstabbing during a campaign, etc. are all kind of to be expected. This movie would have probably had a bigger impact if it came out in the 80s/90s. 6.5/10

One of my fave all-time comedies, but I have to agree with this. That middle section you're referring to is very slow paced and detracts from the movie. It adds a depressing tone that just wasn't necessary, but from the point Ferrell comes in, it totally makes up for it and the movie finishes on a real strong note

a bit off topic, but that movie The Vow looks like the most depressing chick flick ever. Going out on a limb and saying she never remembers him, and they end up apart at the end. Or she remembers him right before he gets smacked by a bus

Carver - super gory, low budget flick based on true events, similar to texas chainsaw massacre. Cast of never heard ofs, not as suprememly shitty as one would expect. Not very good, either. Neat for the gore, that's about it. - 1 & 1/2 cocoanutts

Red State - pretty good movie about an over the top church or cult that ends up having good old gun fight against ATF agents. Lots a well known actors make cameos. Disturbing and probably unintentially funny at times. - 2 cocoanutts

Death Race 2 - lol, really entertaining for the first 3 quarters, then an out of left field WTF ending kinda ruins it. Good until the shitty ending. - 2 & 1/2 cocoanutts

Party Monster - never saw before. Macaulay and Seth Green are both pretty good. Never really new this story. Never really cared, but interesting story. Alig was basically a promoter junk box turned rat. Club icon, lol. - Good cast. - 3 cocoanutts

Almost ashamed to write a review for this one, but I did watch:

Twilight 4: Breaking Dawn Part 1: not that this series was ever good, but at least the original was somewhat interesting. This latest one has to be the low point in this series. It's really bad. The storyline is way worse than any of the others, they could have fit this whole movie into 30 minutes and not split it up with the next one. The wedding and honeymoon scenes were ultimate cheese, too drawn out and mostly pointless. Really nothing happens in this movie. She gets married, they honeymoon, she gets pregnant with something, that's your story. Maybe the last 5 mins were interesting, but who even cared at that point. The werewolves v. vampires conflict had no point and I'm guessing was thrown in to drag the movie to 100 minutes and maybe keep some of the boyfriends dragged along to this awake (it fails to). No point even discussing the acting. I guess the idiots involved with this can say "hey, at least Transformers 3 was worse." Um yeah, I guess. 1/10
