Not sure what goes on down there any more in terms of nightlife, but as far as restaurants, if you like belgiun food and beer, check out Monks. It's on 16th street between locust and spruce. Also, if you are there during the day, check out the reading terminal market. it's a huge farmer's market, and for me, the best place to grab lunch. anytime i go home for a visit, i make sure i hit up the terminal.

If Kyle isn't busy doing . . . . he can help you out with suggestions, Philly looks like a cool city for a week-end

Philly is really fun if you are looking to bar hop…I would say get a hotel in Center City…There is a Sheraton there that is awesome and only cost close to 200 on a Saturday night stay. Go to Old city for nightlife and if you looking for a top notch steak house before hand, I strongly recommend Union Trust on chestnut street

Rouge for brunch. Right on the edge of the park.

    Montmarte is good for dinner

Liberty Tavern good for drinks/bar food

    Figi great for asian fusion

Crescent Cafe - good creole food

Banana Leaf - excellent malaysian. They have this peanut pancake dessert thing that is among my favorite things in Philly, lol.

I LOVE the Reading Terminal Market - unbelievable, I wish I had a cooler when I went to bring back some of the stuff the amish farmers sell. The cheeses, bacon, oh my. I stayed at the Sheraton Society Hill in Old City and scored it on Hotwire for $99 a night. Next time I tried hotwire again and ended up at a Marriott that was right next store to the market ($84 a night). I liked the Sheraton much better but the marriott was also very nice.

I liked barhopping around old city but I can't speak to further nightlife because I went for concerts @ the susquehanna bank center both times.

    Thanks everyone...Just came back...

Nightlife - went to rumor , music, crowd, etc was not bad but not sure worth the $20 cover..Went to another spot in the area (forgot the name), nothing special and also went to the ladder which had all the stuck up people. The best places were the so called afterhours (open to 3:30), Z bar and Pulse.

For food - Union trust which was ok but nothing special, great design to the place. Devon grill which was the same good but nothing special. The cheese steaks were the hi lites - Genos and Delassandros. Nothing better than the late cheese steak at Genos (open 24 hrs).

Hotel - Palomar which was good, close to everything, boutique hotel.

Dalessandro's is one of the best in Philly...Geno's is one of the worst. You were better off going to Pat's across the street from Geno's (which really isn't all that great either). Top 3 = Jim's, Tony Lukes, Dalessandro's.
    * I really am as awesome as I appear.
