Eli made the Pro Bowl... LMAO

We see it every year, the Pro Bowl is a huge joke, and maybe the biggest is Eli on the NFC roster over Romo. You have to be kidding me with this selection. Do you like a guy who has 16 INTs and just completed 33% of his passes in a game? Or the guy who has a passer rating over 100 and has just destroyed the league in the last 8 games? Honestly, I had Eli at 6th in the NFC behind Rodgers, Brees, Romo, Stafford and Newton. I have no idea why he's in the Pro Bowl. I don't think anyone does. Stafford has 36 TDs, Newton has 34 TDs, Eli has 26. Romo's passer rating is over 100, Eli's is barely 90.

    Someone please explain, thanks

only Skip Bayless would agree with you in regards to Romo over Eli

Well I guess if you like inaccurate passing and turnovers, Eli is your guy. Romo's stats blow Eli out of the water, but this is pretty much the norm for their careers....

Skip Bayless is too busy talking up the worst QB in the NFL (Tebow)

OK let me ask Giant fans... if you could revise this season and had the option of:

    - Eli throwing 10 more TDs
    - Eli throwing 2 less INTs
    - Eli completing a higher percentage of his passes
    - Eli leading the Giants to 10 wins instead of 8

Would you choose that? Or what the Giants have done?

Matthew Stafford says hi...... homer fools all of you

Nice retort. So your position is that Eli, despite less TDs, less completion percentage, less stats across the board, and less wins, had a better year than Stafford. You're not very smart.

I'm guessing the Lions would take Stafford's "worse" year 10 times out of 10. Too bad they play in a division with the 14-1 Packers. The Giants would have been eliminated from playoff contention in every single division except NFC East and AFC West. What a great team. What a great QB.

For all of Eli's accomplishments, Sanchez has more TDs and less INTs. And Sanchez has not had a good year. Chew on that

    Eli last two seasons:

57 TDs, 41 INTs, 87.5 passer rating, 61% completion, 18-13 record. Elite? GTFO

Romo has 71 INTs in his career, Eli has 41 in the last 2 seasons.... you do the math

Eli 41 INTs in last 1080 passes... Rodgers 38 INTs in 2113 career passes... Brady 15 INTs in last 1068 passes

Giant fans are just not very smart. They see what they want to see

Guess you are smarter than the players that play against him and coaches to coach against him that voted him in you moron. Not always about numbers although he is near 5,000 yards. But its how clutch he is and how he gets it done when the game is on the line. How many games has he won putting this team on his back.. He has 14 4th quarter TD passes tied with only Johnny U and his brother all-time. If he throws one more on Sunday in the 4th quarter he will have the record all by himself. And don't even compare Eli to Sanchez, that just shows how dumb you really are.

    damn

I hate the Giants as much as anybody else and still think Eli is a homo for the way the whole draft situation was handled but jesus already.
It could have gone to any one of the guys you mentioned. I think what helps Eli is the fact that his defense sucks and he's had to constantly bail them out. His 4th quarter heroics and the fact that he's made Victor Cruz look like a superstar.
I agree that Stafford was more deserving though.

It is the pro ball...who watches it anyways
I mean, if either Rodgers or Brees got snubbed, than it would make a headline story for the week

That third guy could have been Eli, Romo, Stafford and Cam.....so it was Eli

You really can have no issues with any of those guys being the third guy....but there is only one spot

Eli prob gets the tiebreaker because he has a SB ring and he has been pretty insane clutch in the 4th in which even most of the sports media world has mention Eli as a MVP canidate (obvious not over Rodger but his name has been thrown out there as a top 3 guy THIS YEAR)

Chances are both Cam and Stafford play in this game because two of those starting 3 won't play and the young guys would like to play
I want what all men want, I just want it more

first off the pro bowl means jack shit unless you are a player and that is part of your incentives-also never know why they dont wait until all the games are over before doing it-perfect example lets say romo blows up this week and throws 5tds and eli shits the bed(not saying either will happen) but in that instance one guys team will be in the playoffs one out of the playoffs-

I think eli is a good qb for sure so I have no issue with him making it but I do think STafford has had a better year

I wouldnt go too crazy over ther 4th quarter td passes. If Eli played better in the first half he wouldnt have to play from behind so much. That defense and his inability to play good in the first half is why he has so many 4th quarter td passes.

Slick is really butt hurt over Eli. I hate Eli but who the fuck really cares? Him and Romo are both on teams that are currently 8-7 so I don't see what the big deal is.
    * I really am as awesome as I appear.

It is not always about that stats and I am just talking about this year and not big picture of career
Eli is better than Stafford and I am talking about this year......So for this year (because you will hear some say, yeah overall eli is better but Stafford had a better pro ball type year) so I am going to explain to you all how that is false

Eli has had a better year than STAFFORD
Stafford stats this year are great, but also more so than any other a product of the dome
Out of his 15 games so far.....12 have been in domes....That is right...12...8 home and 4 road games (he has played 12 out of 15 games in a dome...more than any other qb)
He has only played one game against a top 10 total defense Team

Eli has played 8 games already in one of the toughest stadium for qbs to play at
Eli has only played 3 domes games (Stafford has played 12) I don't care what anybody says, a dome is going to make any qbs stats better...I bet if you did a break down by game to game between the two and compare there overall difference to the opposing qb's rating...The marging for Eli would be higher

And Eli has played against 3 top ten total Defense teams, to Stafford's 3

And this is the Pro Ball.....So with prime time games...America has seen Eli go 2-1 and Stafford 0-2 in there prime time games this year

I don't like the Stafford debate over Eli...because that is solely based on stats that many times can be a product
Romo would really be the only way to go if you wanted to debate

Plus Eli has had to carry his team because of injury...more so than any other qb this year
I want what all men want, I just want it more

Slick this is why not too many are fond of you. You're the first to come on here to bash the Giants about just about everything. Your attempt at objective viewpoints gets overshadowed. I'll be the first to admit I didn't think Eli had any chance to get in the Pro Bowl, because I thought Stafford had it the whole way (never mind the stats Cam has decided to put up this year).

But it's the FUCKING PRO BOWL. The worst, most "who gives a shit" all star competition of all sports. Voted by homer fans, and coaches who have no fucking idea who's good or not because they're main focus everyday is next week's opponent. It's not a coincidence that vets will get voted over rookies or younger guys. You are exerting so much meaningless hatred about a topic just to prove your hatred towards the Giants. Gone for a few days because of vacation/holiday, so couldn't make small post about Giants/jets game??? Sure, somewhat understandable in this time of holiday. BUT 2 hours after Pro Bowl rosters are announced to your disliking..... BAM, a soliloquy of stats to prove an otherwise worthless point.

I like eli so this is just for shits and giggles but once again I say they need to wait until the season is over-if stafford goes to the playoffs and eli does not you really have to give the nod to stafford especially if eli has a bad game this week-I agree with the domes vs non domes stuff which is one reason I always think peyton gets unfair credit over brady when comparing them(I go with brady ) as brady plays in a much tougher place to play
