Interesting. I just saw that story on one of those old channels not too long ago (History Channel or one of those). Is it really that good? Seemed like it would be as interesting as that half hour show and that was it.

Have you read anything else by Gaiman. I read Neverwhere and completely hated it, I couldn't even finish the book it was such a chore. But I feel like he deserves another chance, and if I were to do that I think I would read American Gods or maybe wait for your review of Anansi Boys.

It's an awesome book. Took me about 60 page in to get hooked, but now I can't put it down!

Oh & also.. another book I am looking forward to reading is "Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother." It's about a mother's struggle to raise her children with strict chinese upbringing.

"A lot of people wonder how Chinese parents raise such stereotypically successful kids. They wonder what these parents do to produce so many math whizzes and music prodigies, what it’s like inside the family, and whether they could do it too. Well, I can tell them, because I’ve done it. Here are some things my daughters, Sophia and Louisa, were never allowed to do:

    • attend a sleepover
    • have a playdate
    • be in a school play
    • complain about not being in a school play
    • watch TV or play computer games
    • choose their own extracurricular activities
    • get any grade less than an A
    • not be the #1 student in every subject except gym and drama
    • play any instrument other than the piano or violin
    • not play the piano or violin. "

He's mostly an urban fantasy/paranormal author, and super weird. He's a good writer and lots of people love him, but he seems to be weird for the sake of being weird, but don't let my opinion throw you off, I am in a super minority when it comes to not liking his novels. I think I heard HBO is doing a series on American Gods and if anyone saw the movie Stardust, that was Neil Gaiman.
