That comment had nothing to do with Brady

It was a comment towards all the clowns I have heard in the past that always want to bring up Jerry Rice as a reason why Montana won

It would be like if Welker continues to establish himself as an elite WR for years to come...and Brady wins a SB with him and than years later want to use he had the luxury of playing with an all time great

Montana was surrounded by great players on both sides of the ball.. Roger Craig, John Taylor, Ronnie Lott... however he won because he is an amazing quarterback and made the guys around him better. much like Peyton

You do know when Montana stepped into that situation with the 9ers they were the worse team the whole decade of the 70s???? It is a fact, look it up

Montana did not step into talent....His first year he started Deberg was supposed to be the guy that took Walsh's west coast offense and hope change a losing attitude to winning for that organization....Deberg could not cut it...Montana instant came in and started winning, which help turn that organization and of course like any Great team , other great players started to develop...But in a players regards, it all started with Montana for this great franchise

The voting for this shit may no sense......the voters are basically saying Brees was more dominant, but GB would not have been where they were if it weren't for Rodgers, yet when Flynn is at QB the GB offense can still click, however if NO puts Chase Daniel behind center I can guarentee that offense will be nowhere near as high flying as with Brees.

My point is there should have some sort of consistency between the MVP and OPY voting

LOL at not recognizing the guy who broke the single season passer rating record. Do you not realize how prestigious that is?????? I'd like to see Matt Flynn, Drew Brees, or whoever, post a 122 pass rating for the entire year. Eli aka Mr. 82 career passer rating need not apply. Apparently he's awesome because his front 4 makes the other team's QB have a terrible game
