lol, I was an impressionable 8 year old. Montana and Rice was too much for me to ignore. I went against the family grain and have been paying the price ever since. The trash talking between me and all my cousins and uncles is at a fever pitch. If the niners lose I go into witness protection until the coast is clear.

    lmao
virtually everyone on my dad's side is a jets fan, save for my one aunt who got me to come over to her side at age 5. told me if i wanted to piss off my dad, i should root for the giants & it stuck luckily for me they win more than the jets do, so i haven't had to deal with much bullshit

i tried not to pick on them too much, i mean what do you really have to say to a jet fan? kinda like picking on the retarded kid lol it just felt wrong to me.

They need to be able to control field possession and not fuck up returns.

What a game. A classic indeed. This one is going to haunt me for years. I woke up every morning last week to see the updated injury report on Ted Ginn Jr.'s knee, and now you know why. Kyle Williams was the MVP of this game - that is without question.

I feel for him, he made an incredible stupid play on the first fumble for going anywhere near that ball as it bounces and for not holding the ball tight to his chest on the second one. Game of inches, literally. Heartbreaking. The poor kid is getting death threats now. Unfortunate. I like how all the niners are standing behind him.

All my Giants family and friends have a new found respect for the Niners team, especially that defense. Eli Manning never took a beating like that. Especially in the second half. I give nothing but respect to Eli for getting up after those hits and keep on playing. Guy is a fighter.

This game was won fair and square by the Giants. The Bradshaw "forward progress call" during a tied game in giants territory with 2 minutes left is one that will really irritate me during the off season but that is what this game is all about. The giants were getting SCREWED by the refs during the Packer game, I dont blame them for getting one in another game.

I will be wearing Giant blue during the super bowl. Congrats guys. Looking forward to seeing my Niners be a major playor in the NFC for the next 7-8 years. We need to pick up a WR free agent bad (Colston, Jackson, Bowe, someone, anyone).

the whistle was blown before the ball came loose so you cant really argue against that forward progress call

The whistle blew, it was all within the rules, all fine and dandy - still a horrible call. The whistle blew way too fast, there was ALOT of football still being played as that whistled blew. It wasnt like a standstill where 4, 5 and 6 defenders just pile on as the running back tries hopelessly to stay standing. This was Bradshaw getting hit and as he was being wrapped up by one defender, Bowman was working on the strip.

Very tough call, if this was Gore fumbling from a JPP strip and the Niners keep the ball because the zebras were too quick on the whistle, this board would be up in arms.

Having said that, it is not the reason why we lost or could have won. The honor rests on one man. Kyle Williams. Our defense won that game only to have our back up returner give it right back.

Like I said, this one will haunt me forever.

i agree with what you said they did bow the whistle too fast there but he wasnt going anywhere at that point and had three guys poushing him back so it was a pretty standard move by the refs ... but you if it was the other way around id be pissed but it was all within rules ... not like that non fumble reversal against the packers last week

I am not trying to be a homer but the refs sucked for us again yesterday. Davis was clearly out of bounds on the first TD. Although I can understand why they didnt over turn it. The first fumble off his leg clearly showed it hit. They should have caught that on the field, and we should have had a touch down there. Ross was called for some penalties that I thought were a pretty far reach that gave the 9ers a new set of downs when Alex Smith was clearly in trouble.

I would agree they called the whistle early on the bradshaw fumble but there were so many stops in this game I could understand why they would.

Either way it will never be perfect.
