    slingbox pro hd

does anyone have one of these? i'm thinking of buying one and hooking it up to my cable box at home and then accessing it from my house at the shore, so I dont have to pay for cable down there year round. If I hooked it up to a PC and HD monitor/TV, would the quality be HD? I dont want to sacrifice quality.

I got it for Xmas, havent hooked it up yet though. I have the regular Slingbox pro currently hooked up for the past three years, works great. The pro hd works with your phone and ipad so i needed the upgrade, the pro just works with your laptop

is there a full screen mode? like if I were to set it up on a tv, would it look just like my tv at home, or is there a "player" that would be there on the screen?

let me know how the hd goes...maybe you can even hit me up with a temporary password so I could check it myself....hmmm? lol

I had one of these. I found that the pic quality is not HD unless you're in the same room as the slingbox which basically defeats the purpose. Pic quality is not necessarily bad, but I wasn't getting a hi-def pic. I was out of the country on business for a while, that's why I bought one. Overall, it's a neat device, but I would not expect HD quality if you're accessing it from many miles away.
