Audi tranny swap ?

I have an 02 A4 2.7 with a blown tranny. Can I swap it with the tranny from an 05 A4 3.0? Will it make a difference or are they the same pretty much?

2002 A4 2.7? They never made that.

The only 2.7, was the 2000-2002 S4 2.7 twin turbos.

2002 A4s were either 1.8T 4cylinder, or 3.0L 6cylinder

Never mind it's an a6 my pops got it at the auction for 3 gs runs great just needs the tranny high miles is the only prob but for that price ill take it. Definite upgrade from my passage lol
