    agree Montreal - Igloo Fest

Some of my friends are headed up to Montreal today and I've decided to go along last minute. We are renting an SUV and driving up.

So far our agenda looks like:
Thursday - Cassy and Maus @ Stereo
Friday & Saturday - Igloo fest and after parties.
Sunday - Is unclear but most likely relaxing and preparing for the ride back.

I hear so many good things about Montreal being a friendly and easy going city. Also, I'm really looking forward to checking out stereo. VC is playing there Saturday night but Im going to skip that and go to an after party from igloo fest. I dont want to waste a night to hear an accessible DJ and go to the same club two nights in a row. Ill update this thread when I get back with, and if, I have any pictures and reviews.

If anyone has recommendations Im open to hearing them.

    Heres a short recap.

Went to stereo for Cassy Friday night. I was expecting to walk into a crazy party, packed room, and great vibe. I had such high expectations for this place but it was a big let down. The club it self is ok, nothing to brag about besides a great system and the lighting was nothing special. The lights seemed to be on a loop and a generic feel to it. What killed me the most was that there is NO ALCHOL at all!! Im not talking about serving past 4am, I'm saying at all!! It was really empty inside too. Cassy played some good music but by the looks of it she wasn't into it, playing to an empty room was the cause.

Igloofest was a great time. I got a ticket online for 12$, Cant beat that. Music was great and the drinks were priced right. something like 8-9$ for a huge can of sapporo. The people were cool. It was cold a fu*k, but once I got a few drinks in me it didnt really matter.

After Igloofest I went back to the hotel, showered, and changed. and headed to the strip club for a bit. Most of the girls were hot and not as pushy as they are here. Had a few beers and then headed back to stereo for Victor. I figured I dont want to shun this place out, maybe it was just an off night so I gave it another chance. There was deff a lot more people there than the previous night but still, I was expecting way more.

We left stereo and headed to someones loft party where Marcell Dettmann and Ben Klock were playing at after their gig at Igloofest. It was a really small loft but it was nicely packed with every dancing and having a good time. But around 5:30-6am they got off and I guess one of their locals got on and cleared this place out! I expected a few people to leave but this schmuck just didnt know how to play for a crowd at all. I almost felt bad for him.

Yea. The lady at the border was no fuking joke. Very serious look and didnt crack a smile.
She asked us what how long are we staying for and what were we doing. afteer we told her she asked us all of our occupations. Then she went and asked us again what we were doing in Montreal to see if our answers would change.

One of the guys that was with us was lucky she didnt look deeper in the names. If you have a DWI they will not let you in Canada. So he would have had to find another border to cross or found a way home.

ok just to take it a step further... does this apply to anyone who is in the midst of a litigation/dealing with a charge? (felony)
    DWI is a felony, right?
