You get all the apps for free but you there are multiple jb downloads out there so its takes awhile to find the right download. Its kind of like stealing cable tv

in my opinion maybe in the past jail breaking was a big deal but now its really not. the lags and problems alone make it not worth it. the iPhone does exactly what i need it to do. but if you are an app whore then its worth it

i think its worth it, my phone dont lag and i've already dled close to $100 worth of apps, thats $100 i didnt waste and used for something more imp. !

I have mandatory password security from my company on my Iphone so some jailbreaks won't work. Once I find one Im getting the 3D screen setup and the 5th number line on the keyboard. Free apps are nice too. Don't care for anything else.

I jailbroke mine and I love it. Didn't get too crazy with the themes because I already like the iOS interface, but I did make the taskbar, bottom tray and the "slide to unlock" transparent and removed the tray icon names, which cleans up the screen and shows off the wallpaper more.

Also:
- hack that allows more than 12 apps in one folder
- program that allows you to customize the phone buttons to different commands (I can enter a contact from anywhere by pressing the home button 3 times, open notes by shaking the phone, open iPod controls by pressing the power button twice and go to clock settings by pressing the status bar)
- security that allows to add passwords to separate apps
- Installing all apps for free of course. Now I can load up on all those music production apps and games!
- blocks all apps and silently sends an SMS to my wife's cell phone when someone switches out the SIM card with the new SIM's phone number (the best anti-theft feature. most iPhone thieves switch SIMs but if you know the phone number you can always de-activate it).

So far the battery performance hasn't changed much which I was concerned about.
